Hear from the creator of Ibiza run club
My name is James Sorene, I’m a UK Athletics qualified running coach, marathoner and parkrun volunteer in London. I support runners with training plans and advice about form and technique.
I’ve been running the trails and roads of Ibiza for 15 years as a frequent visitor to the island.
Last October, after a tough running season that included the London Marathon, I went to Ibiza for a four day holiday and designed a running programme of mainly zone 2 10km runs across trails and roads with a good amount of hills. The sunshine and the terrain really boosted my strength and endurance. I returned strong and refreshed enough to begin a winter training programme building up to 110 km a week, running half marathons and completing the Barcelona and London marathons in March and April this year.
The Ibiza running trip was so good that I decided to design a running mini break so other runners could benefit.
